TERMS of REFERENCE
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Libya is looking to receive expressions of interest for the production of a video on the risks of irregular migration in Libya, the challenges migrants face while employed within the country, and practical advice for current and future employees.
Despite the decreasing migration flows through the Central Mediterranean Route in the past two years, Libya is still a transit route and departure point for many migrants attempting to go to Europe. However, Libya also remains an important destination country for migrants seeking economic opportunities.
IOM Libya is interested in documenting through a short documentary the stories and challenges faced by migrants who have just started working in Libya, those who have worked there for a long time and those seeking to be employed. The video will also cover the opinions and advice of Libyan employers and community members. IOM’s work will also be featured and IOM’s teams in Tunis and Libya will be available for practical advice and background information before writing the script.
The expected outputs are:
- A film script: an in depth exploration of the story
- A short film: 10 - 15 minutes (3 different versions with English, French and Arabic subtitles)
Interested production companies or freelancers should submit their concept notes (technical and financial proposals) indicating the following:
- Concept and storyline of the assignment;
- Cost in US dollars;
- Detailed timeline and schedule;
- Curriculum vitae of all team members;
- 3 recent works or showreel;
- Reference from at least three previous clients;
- Statement of capability.
